Veterinary Assistant
Born in Flagstaff and raised in a military family, Aurora has called many places home, including Arizona, Hawaii, California, Texas, and Virginia. Her lifelong love for animals began early, having grown up surrounded by a variety of pets—from cats and dogs to larger animals like cows, pigs, goats, and horses. This upbringing ignited her passion for animal husbandry and her commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless.
Aurora earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech and is currently in her second semester of her graduate certificate program in Veterinary Forensic Medicine at the University of Florida. She is working toward her ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. Her primary areas of interest include dental care and animal law, where she hopes to make a significant impact in animal welfare.
Outside of work and school, Aurora enjoys curling up with her Chihuahua and a good book, staying active at the gym, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
In the summer, Aurora joined Horizon Animal Hospital when she moved back to Arizona to be closer to her family. Her family has been bringing their pets to Horizon for over nine years, and she was thrilled to become part of a team that shares her passion for exceptional client service and patient care. She’s excited to contribute to Horizon’s commitment to excellence and looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets.
